JA Finance Park™ is all that, and more. A Financial literacy laboratory nestled on the edge of Griffith Park, this Southern California campus exists to inspire and prepare youth to succeed. There is no question about it: Financial literacy and sound money management skills are essential to success. Today more than ever, young adults need a strong foundation for making intelligent, lifelong, personal financial decisions.

To improve the financial literacy of our future business leaders and employees, Junior Achievement of Southern California (JASoCal) has created an exciting reality-based learning environment for middle and high school students.

JA Finance Park™ allows 7th to 12th grade students to see, touch, and live the experience of personal finance in a real-life setting of stores, shops, and financial institutions, by basically becoming "an adult for the day."

"In order to budget, you really need to know how to do math, and to prioritize things. I learned that we need a lot of necessities to live, but we shouldn't go overboard on our wants or the fun we want to have." -- Samantha, 16

“Today I gained further knowledge on the importance of balancing your spending, and how easy it is to go over the amount of money you have. I learned that you need to divide life’s expenses into sub-categories and decide how much you can afford to spend for each.” -- Alexandra, 17

“Finance Park helped me discover how it feels to be in the real world. It helped me find out that math and decision-making skills are needed outside of the classroom!” -- Ivan, 14

“Finance Park taught me that life can be difficult without parents paying for everything. Having a budget is definitely the best way to manage money.” -- Julee, 16

“I had an awesome day! My experience at Finance Park is going to help me a lot in the future. I learned that if you make decent money and if you spend it and save it wisely, you can have a lot of different things in life. It is all about saving your money and not spending it.” -- Josue, 17
